Antigone
Antigone was a lovely women with a tragic life. She had to live with a cursed family in which all had died painfully. She wanted all of them to be honored and buried when it was their time to pass away. When her brothers both killed each other with the others hand, only Ismene, her sister, and Antigone remained. When the new king became king, he declared one brother to be honored and buried by the whole city and for the other to be left for the animals to eat. Antigone, with hope, went to Ismene, her sister, and asked to help bury and honor their brother. Ismene was afraid because if she disobeyed the new kings order she would be killed because she did not have any power against it. Antigone's plans were not affected by her sister, Ismene, not wanting to go so she did it on her own.
"Is it ever okay to question authority?"
Antigone, despite the facts that she was disobeying the king and could be killed by the king's orders, she still wanted to mourn and bury her brother. She didn't care if she died doing it, as long as he could rest in peace. She risked her life just to help her beloved brother that was to be eaten by animals. She could not let that happen and fought. She said, "If it is my fate, then I shall die," this means that if it is her time to die, she will die doing the thing that she is going to do but, that will not stop her in any way.
