Underground Railroad
On 1849, Harriet Tubman had ran away with help from a kind white woman that sheltered her and showed her the way. Harriet Tubman was to follow the North Star. She left Pennsylvania and arrived at Philadelphia many days later. She did not stop there, she went back fully knowing that if she was caught she could have been given the death penalty and went to go find her family members and bring them back safely to Philadelphia, the state where African Americans were free. After saving her family members she went to various places and helped many other African American slaves that were seeking freedom.
"Is it ever okay to question authority?"
Freedom was the only thing African Americans ever wanted. Harriet Tubman didn't just want to just dream about it or just wait her whole life for it to happen, she wanted to make a change and help herself and her fellow African Americans to their dreams of being free. She didn't care about dying, she would rather die than living a life without freedom. With that mind she also helped many others that wanted to be free. Some helped them putting her life on the line. She saved many slaves and never got caught.
Relationship with Antigone
Both Antigone and Harriet Tubman wanted to finish their dream or task even knowing that their life was on the line. That didn't stop them and put their life on the line. They both thought that if it was their time that they would rather die while trying to succeed in their goal rather than living their lives in regret and pain. They didn't just think or dream, they put that dream and goal into action and didn't care what consequences were ahead of them. If it was their time, then they would not complain.
